Terms & Conditions

The maps and information supplied is correct at the time of writing, however we cannot guarantee that they will remain so. If you know of any road closures or road works or indeed anything that may affect the route please inform John Skevington 0116 222 0502 IMMEDIATELY.

As in previous years legs are sub divided into two types;

Legs on which there is a free choice of route.
These are subject only to the requirement, that on some routes, designated control points must be visited. In the notes we have included a suggested route for these legs, and we have deliberately selected legs on which there is a genuine choice of route in order to encourage runners to reconnoitre. Any cross-country variants MUST however use public rights of way and any team found to trespass onto private land will be disqualified.

Legs on which the route is fixed and must be adhered to.
We must stress that, although some parts of the route will have waymarking, this should not be relied on and no attempt has been made to Marshall except for a few road crossings. There are some unavoidable and dangerous road crossings. Runners must be prepared to be responsible for their own safety and navigation. There are sections which can cause difficulty, even to those who think they know the way, and spacing between runners can become very large. A preliminary reconnaissance is strongly recommended. Distances in the notes have not been measured to the usual standards and should be treated as guidance only.

Restarts
There will be four restarts and it is essential that team managers have their runners in place in good time.

These will take place after the first few teams have gone through at

Start of leg D at Somerby approx 10.45am
Start of leg H a t Peatling crossroads approx 1.30pm
Start of leg K at Market Bosworth Crossroads approx 3.45pm
Start of leg M at Beacon Hill approx 5pm

Suggested legs for Women
The rule to limit Women only running certain legs has been relaxed, however it is still suggested that in the interests of safety and to ensure more competition Women athletes should run on legs A,D,H,K,and M if possible.
